New Delhi [India], March 10: Experts are warning women seeking life partners through matrimonial websites to be vigilant, as cases of financial fraud involving emotional and physical manipulation have nearly doubled. Priya Kakade, a renowned private investigator, held a press conference on the eve of International Women’s Day to raise awareness about the dangers of online scams targeting women. She revealed, “In my 20 years of experience, handling cases of divorce, extramarital affairs, private investigations, and financial fraud, I’ve observed a concerning trend post-COVID. Many divorces occurred due to increased domestic violence, and now, women are turning to matrimonial sites, only to fall victim to financial exploitation.”

Swift Detectives’ findings indicate that divorced women in their 30s, women with average appearances, and those who are overweight are particularly vulnerable. Societal pressures and family expectations often lead these women to rush into marriages without thorough background checks.

Priya Kakade shared a case where a woman married a man she met online. After having a child, she discovered he was gay. Swift Detectives provided evidence for her divorce, securing alimony and child custody.
